Our Favorite Midwest Golf Resort – Those Weekend Golf Guys

Our Favorite Midwest Golf Resort

The French Lick Resort and West Baden Springs Hotel

For us, there is nothing that screams “it’s FALL!” quite like the week long celebration that is the Senior LPGA Championship, Presented by Old National Bank at the Pete dye course at French Lick Resort, French Lick, Indiana.

The golf at French Lick is phenomenal, with 3 great courses: the Pete Dye course, The Hill course (also known as the Donald Ross course), and the Valley course (designed by Tom Bendelow). From October 10-14, the Dye course will be busy hosting the Senior LPGA Championship but the other 2 courses will be available so we plan on 18 to start the day on one of the great courses, then an afternoon of watching the women who made the LPGA Tour what it is today competing on the Dye course.

Part of the French Lick Resort is the West Baden Springs Hotel. This great, historic building harkens back to the early 20th century. Until 1963 (when the Astro Dome was built in Houston) this was the largest free standing dome in the world.

If you are looking for a golf trip, a rejuvenating Spa weekend, or just a great place to spend some time in Indiana, you have to check out French Lick Resort.
