Mere Mortals playing a game obviously designed by and for, gods. That’s what we have been doing this week. Playing golf with friends, old and new, at The French Lick Resort. We played a “tune-up” round on the resort’s Pete Dye Course. Ah, one full sleeve of balls later we walked off 18 thankful that it was over. You need to see some of the pics we posted at Facebook.com/golfguys to understand. There is no room to miss. The rough is not only thick, but the drop off from the fairway is sometimes as much as 50 feet. But it was great practice for playing in the Pro-Am of the Symetra Tour’s Donald Ross Classic being held at the Ross course at French Lick. This course is even tougher than the Dye course. Not a flat lie on the course! And the greens…don’t get me started on the greens. But we did play with a terrific golfer named Sophie Hausmann. She is from Germany, played her collegiate golf at Univ. of Idaho. Someday soon she’ll be a regular Sunday participant on the LPGA Tour. This edition of Those Weekend Golf Guys Radio Show captures the spirit of the fun we had. Thanks again to all our friends at the French Lick Resort. Listen and enjoy.
